I’m saying goodbye to Whitehall and setting up home in a village in Crete.

I finished my MA and wrote my book: The Extremist. Then I rewrote it, signed up with an agent and we got a big fat zero this time around. I’ll be publishing extracts from it on this website, so get ready to have your reading tastebuds teased by Lily, Aziz, Auntie Naima and the rest of the Malik clan as Lily finds out what life in Islamabad with a baby on the way is like. And don’t go thinking this is cosy fiction: it opens in dusty old Baluchistan, with Lily in a burka and very scared.
It’s going to be exciting, especially when I work out how to put photos into a post.
For now, it’s time for my 26th commute before finishing that particular ritual forever (sigh).
